In a plot Pirque characterized by having a beautiful park with various species of ancient trees, fruit trees and a large meadow, we were asked to design a large barbeque area that hosted different activities – from events with large groups of people to family and intimate moments – enjoying the natural environment.

Different usage scenarios raised by the commission, the project materialized through the following elements:

– A continuous raised platform (as the land is irrigated by flooding) that builds the base where various activities are carried out and a new horizon from which to dominate the visual landscape and garden;
– A roof only difference between indoor and open terraces, the wing also generates necessary for the proper functioning of the glass part regulating the necessary solar radiation in different seasons;
– A glazed box sets up a sequence of spaces adjacent separable or bound by sliding windows, which defines a terrace west access, indoor and terrace glazing east bound to the grid and projected toward a wooded area of ??land, which worked as an extension of the roof space;
– A wall of adobe (rammed earth) 9m in length that is the support of counters and the grill and serving as a backup, after which houses the bathrooms.

The final product is a barbecue a contemporary aesthetic with the use of simple materials (logs and pine decking, oak demolition, metal profiles, glass and earth) and craftsmanship of construction.
