The architecture of this house, built in the vicinity of Vancouver Dunbar, responds to customer needs in modern architecture, flexible terms, compatible recreational and private parts, and the potential for a growing family. Complex visual bulk composition of the house is really clear and simple: the house as it consists of two parts connected by a central staircase. One part of the duplex with high ceilings and roof, the other consists of three floors of moderate height. Landscape design is focused on local, drought-resistant plants, carefully designed and is part of the architectural and spatial composition. The house became a demonstration of possibilities of sustainable architecture and the first residential building in Western Canada, a certified LEED Platinum standards and awarded the 2011 RAIC Award of Excellence for Green Building.
