Balnearn Boathouse for McKenzie Strickland Associates is located on the banks of Loch Tay as a result of watching James Bond movies. A single room was built on an artificial cave that is fun and perfect for spending time with friends and family. A cave formed under The Boathouse allows a fast boat to drive and strapped to the roof before an electric winch which positions the amarrres. The living room is above and includes a kitchenette, bathroom with shower and a folding bed away. The roof of the boathouse is designed to resemble the extension of the lake itself. The two columns are created externally visible angle from exceptionally lightweight steel and creates a “free floating” effect of the home owners. Despite the team design has struggled with a lot of technical and construction problems in the water, he managed to create the stunning truth boathouse.
