House with a courtyard in Queensland (Queensland Courtyard House) in Australia from Plazibat + Jemmott architects. The aim of this project is an attempt to go beyond the traditions and the exploration of new potential models for suburban residential development. The proposed site is located on the outskirts of Brisbane and forms an alternative proposal to increase the density of the population – from about 160 to 220 people per hectare compared to the existing 55-75 people. Blocked houses are designed on a sloping site and offering a dense visual and physical relationship with the landscape to the north of the site. The courtyard inside the volume becomes a reference point, a vertical rod of the composition.
